Healthy eating – four practical basics for healthy eating

Healthy Eating: There are hundreds of opinions on how to eat healthy. Yet healthy eating does not have to be so complicated. These are the four basics of healthy eating!

1. Healthy Eating – choose products close to nature

Most of the products we find in the supermarket are processed by the food industry. Now that kind of food is no problem ‘occasionally’, but if you just keep use those products, it is not healthy. Want to eat healthy? Opt for products that are as close to nature as possible.

No, you really do not visit the local farm to eat healthy. In the supermarket, you can also choose between processed and unprocessed products which are more healthy. For example fresh and canned vegetables. So you can better choose between high fiber whole wheat bread and processed white bread. Also, for example, brown rice is healthier than white rice.

Choose to save yourself clean by using fresh produce and checking the ingredients. An easy rule of thumb is: the more ingredients, the less healthy it is for you. Nutrition where many artificial stabilizers and preservatives in appearance are not exactly natural. If you want you can choose organic vegetables (animal products, it is in any case recommended to go for organically). But the first step is choosing more vegetable. By opting for more natural foods, it is easier to eat healthy.

2. Healthy eating means choosing variation

When you eat varied get (almost) automatically all the necessary vitamins, minerals and nutrients in that you need to stay healthy. Although it seems varied food does not have to be difficult.

Each fruit and vegetable has its unique healthy nutrients. By making sure you eat lots of different kinds of plants, you make sure you get a broad range of nutrients. Also choose regularly for oily fish, white meat, tofu, legumes, nuts. Use different herbs and spices. AC agree with vegetable drinks such as soy, almond and rice milk, and drink green tea and herbal tea.

Taste and be amazed by all the flavors of nature. Eating healthy is delicious and fun if you choose more variety!

3. Purify your body

Your body is the most valuable tool you will ever have. You must therefore take good care. As you every day ensures a clean kitchen, you also need daily attention to your body by eating healthy food. It is important that you give your body on a daily basis cleanses from the inside. How do you cleanse your body? Simple:

  • Drink regularly pure water. You can still drink from a glass or put a 1.5 liter bottle on your desk. Water ensures proper disposal of waste. This applies to water as tap water. Waste is disposed through sweat and urine. How do you know if you’re drinking enough? Look at the color of your urine. The more you drink, the more transparent it is and the better the waste products. So make sure your first morning urine after you pee is bright!

Fibers also help create the feeling of fullness. You’re full so much longer with a salad with Bulgur wheat than a salad with white paste.  Because Bulgur wheat has really much more fiber than rice or pasta for example. Fibers also slow down the absorption of sugar in the blood and therefore they also contribute to a stable blood sugar level. Your body is a machine itself. Your conscious mind is separate from the unconscious mind which made your body. Observe your body, therefore, keep an eye on it and cherish it. Your body gives you signals constantly to show you whether you’re good or not so good busy.

Respect your body. This is done for example by not overeating. Eat quietly and savor the food, after about 30 minutes, your stomach is filled. If you take your time to eat, you are satisfied sooner and give your body the signal “full” off.
